Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese medicine for Male Infertility

infertility

Male infertility is becoming an increasing problem and is a major factor in some cases of infertility. It is always a good idea to have a sperm test early on when trying to conceive to see if there are any problems. If problems do arise such as poor motility, sperm numbers and poor morphology the action can be taken.

Men need to look at their lifestyle and act accordingly. Reduce alcohol intake, give up smoking if they do and have a really good diet, supporting this with supplements such as vitamins and herbal medicine.

I suggest acupuncture fortnightly with ongoing herbal medicine treatment, this should be started as soon as possible and continue until their partner becomes pregnant.

Research in a pilot study has shown that men who produced very low sperm counts actually improved with the use of acupuncture for the clinic to retrieve enough sperm for IVF/ICSI treatment Those men in the control group did not change, demonstrating no increase in sperm production.
